“The PTI has not and cannot close the Nato supply line,” said adviser to Prime Minister and central vice president of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Amir Muqam on his visit to Swabi on Thursday.
In his visit to meet Swabi chapter leader Rab Nawaz Khan, Muqam told journalists the Nato protest is for ‘political scoring’. “They stop the containers for a little while after which the containers pass through the same route all night to enter Afghanistan,” said Muqam, alleging the party leadership is trying to fool the nation.
Talking about Imran Khan’s ‘dual policy’ Muqam said on one hand Khan was protesting while on the other hand he was accepting US aid for new projects in K-P. He said when the sit-in started, there were around 3,000 people but the number decreased till it reached 50. He added that the PTI was governing the province from Punjab.
Lashing out at the ANP leadership, Muqam said that the party leadership is revealing its own secrets, “Now everyone knows how ANP served Pukhtuns when they were ruling,” he said.

Now he could tell us about the drone attacks and killing the innocent Pukhtuns, there is no doubt that his party chief has already consented to the drone attacks regardless who gets killed in the process. Perhaps his boss could allow these attacks in Southern Punjab where some of these nasty Taliban are also killing the innocent all over Pakistan.

Acceptance of US aid is a promise they made to Pakistan's Federal Government. They still owe us $10b+ of promised amount. Isn't there any account of our $60-$80b spending on War on Terror which we took upon ourselves under US pressure? No, the trucks are not being allowed to travel at night. The trucks have decreased since they are commissioned on a daily basis and the truck owners over at ports stopped accepting NATO contracts. The trucks that are passing are NOT NATO supply containers. Most of them are export good. A government aiming for political point scoring doesn't make its position weaker by firing ministers.Can anyone please confirm what Amir Muqam is saying? Two days back this was not the case, trucks were verified first, then sent back if they had NATO ties. All the trucks carrying regular export items were allowed to pass.
