Juvenile: Child arrested ‘for stealing water taps’

Police said the scrap store owner who had apparently bought the stolen taps had also been arrested.

Police on Wednesday arrested a 10-year-old boy for allegedly stealing water taps from a house in Multan. Cantonment police said the boy, Shahzeb, had stolen taps worth Rs250,000 from the house of a former MNA.

The boy’s parents said the police were asking them to pay Rs250,000 for Shahzeb’s release. They said they did not have the money. Police said the scrap store owner who had apparently bought the stolen taps had also been arrested.
