Coordinated attacks: Five policemen killed in Hyderabad

Two citizens were also wounded.

HYDERABAD: In several coordinated attacks, miscreants killed five policemen and injured another on Tuesday. Two citizens were also wounded. Assailants attacked the police at four separate locations in Latifabad and City talukas in the evening. “One policeman was killed in the reception area of Mannan Hotel where he had gone to order tea. Three were shot to death as they waited for tea in their mobile,” an eye-witness told The Express Tribune. Bodies were shifted to the Civil Hospital for post mortem. The attack is believed to be a warning to the newly appointed SSP Hyderabad Syed Irfan Bahadur, who is expected to crackdown against the terrorists escaping security operation in Karachi. In Liaquat Colony area, two police constables were critically injured in firing.
