Unemployment: Youth commits suicide

The family of the deceased told police that he had been unemployed since he had graduated.

BAHAWALPUR: A 22-year-old man committed suicide on Tuesday by jumping into the canal, police said. Police were told that the man, a resident of Chak 55-DB near Yazman, had had an argument with his father over money. They said he jumped into the canal near Qadirwali Jhal. Some passers-by who saw him informed the police. A Rescue team has been trying to find his body, but to no avail. The family of the deceased told police that he had been unemployed since he had graduated. They said this often caused arguments between him and his father.
