MIRANSHAH: Security forces used gunships to fire at suspected hideouts of militants in Mirali tehsil, North Waziristan Agency on Tuesday. However, no loss was reported. A government official said security forces pounded Khadai and Zairkai villages, creating a wave of fear among tribesmen early morning, around 6am. On Sunday, two security officials were killed in roadside remote-controlled bomb blast on Miranshah-Mirali road; five officials were injured. As a result security forces and officials of the political administration have launched a search operation in the area.
