Infrastructure development: Japan working on mega projects

Japan would continue to support Pakistan in the completion of different infrastructure related projects, says envoy.

KARACHI: Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan Hiroshi Inomata said his country was keen to get started on the circular railway project for Karachi.  During a call-on meeting with the Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan, Inomata said his country is willing to provide complete assistance for varied mega projects in Sindh. The projects include the Mehran highway, mass transit along with several other development schemes. The ambassador said Japan would continue to support Pakistan in the completion of different infrastructure related projects. Dr Ishrat said that projects like circular railway, mass transit, Mehran highway would definitely strengthen bilateral ties. “I would suggest my friends from Japan to take advantage of our man-power with particular reference to their training and skill enhancement as this would emerge as an efficient work force,” the governor said.
