On November 24, PTI supporters - as a protest against US drone campaign - had blocked Nato supply routes leading to Afghanistan.
PTI workers had staged a sit-in on the Ring Road near Chamkani where they checked hundreds of container.
In their quest to distinguish Nato trucks from regular cargo carriers, workers had broken the seals of dozens of containers for the inspection of goods and had brawls with the drivers in the process.
Protests
The call for a sit-in was earlier made by PTI chief Imran Khan, after his governing party in K-P passed a unanimous resolution against drones and set November 20 as the date of a rally.
In Nowshera, around 150 PTI activists led by K-P Assembly member Idrees Khan set up a protest camp near Khairabad Bridge where participants chanted anti-US and anti-Nato slogans.
A number of PTI activists in Kohat also staged a sit in at the Jarma Chowk on the Indus Highway to halt Nato supply trucks passing through the area.

Okay ! What is going on here? KP government is protesting and KP police is registering case against protesters. Can anyone make any sense out of it?
The chaos that TTP had ordered PTI/JI to create are starting.Nobody is noticing their intensified campaign of bombing innocents(now many attacks a day). They are succeeding in their mechanizations.Their road to Islamabad and governance is fast becoming short. The talibanic version of Sharia will be the law of the land in 2014.You get what you wish for !!!!!
Lol PTI govt. PTI members....has a feel of a family drama to it.
@Optimist{{{Just remember, Its the PTI government that has empowered the police to register FIR against its own activists.)))
This is hilarious. First Imran Khan asks his party supporters to block the NATA supplies and at the same time his government orders police to arrest those who are blocking NATO supplies. Difficult to decide whether it is hypocrisy of stupidity, or may be both...
These are the poor workers following their "leaders", on whose instigation they have started breaking the law of land. If the Police is to be fair, it must also register the case against those so-called leaders for provoking & misguiding them.
We’ve come a long way in our decade long partnership. We’ve lost thousands of brave soldiers in fighting terrorism. Our common sacrifices clarify our stance against terrorism. The truth is that we’ve also faced several obstacles and challenges in our decade long partnership. But at the end of the day, our common peace objectives have allowed us to overcome any obstacles and issues associated with our common mission. We’ve seen the negatives of staying on the opposite sides of the fence, and at the same time, we realize the benefits of working side by side. Our officials continue to meet to address our shared concerns. And we certainly hope to continue our partnership for the sake of restoring peace and stability in the region.
Ali Khan DET, United States Central Command
@AK47: what about them? how do people like you keep making the same stupid equivalence?
Naya pakistan is just topi drama...Let's see when will police arrest imran khan, he is the one behind all the hoopla. Et please post me comment.
Its a good step taken by PTI Chief I am with PTI workers and Imran Khan as well, PTI Zindabad, who are against this protest they must have dollars of NATO / America, in foreign bank account, Imran Khan doesn't has, so he doesn't need to dare from any pressure because he is the leader not Politian.
Would KP police show some sincerity and book a case against Imran Khan for inciting his workers to do an violent act?
Just remember, Its the PTI government that has empowered the police to register FIR against its own activists.
Role of Imran is gradually becoming visible. This happens when you do not interfere in Police.
Good to know that Police is not keeping loyalty with any party, instead they are being loyal to their job....
Is it the Change IK spoke of?
Why only workers? Why not Imran Khan? IT was him after-all who is ordering the cult members to block trucks/supply.
Now let's see if they are sent to prison and fined in "Naya Pakistan" or will they be released on bail or not even arrested in the first place?
It's good of PTI to act against its own. That's CHANGE!
@tweety: What about victims of suicide attacks?
At least they took a step... Bavo!
Earlier the haters were (rightfully) condemning Khan for allowing his workers too beat up the drivers. Now KP police has registered cases against those same workers, but haters will again find some reason to hate. . . ET please show some guts and post this
and what did our police do about the drone strikes and civilians killed???
