The announcement by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan to block Nato supplies in protest against drone attacks is an appreciable step, the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) spokesperson said on Friday.
“Imran Khan has taken a welcome step,” TTP central spokesperson Shahidullah Shahid said while talking to reporters from an undisclosed location.
“No there is no question of ceasefire,” he said responding to a query regarding any chance of respite for peace.
“We are being attacked in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa where we are fighting a defensive war, so we will continue to hit the area from where we are targeted,” Shahid said.
But one thing is clear, Shahid said, “We are exacting revenge from security forces and not the public.”
Here he specified that the public did not include the ANP, PPP and MQM, the three leading secular parties of Pakistan that the Taliban will never pardon.
He said there was no question of dialogue with the government after the killing of Hakimullah Mehsud. “However, peace dialogue is possible if the TTP Shura and Mullah Fazullah decide.”
The way Nawaz Sharif is begging the US to stop drone strikes shows the lack of power of the government, Shahid said adding even a simple tribesman can ask the US to stop drone attacks.
Referring to Jamaat-e-Islami chief Munawwar Hassan’s statement that Hakimullah Mesud is a martyr, Shahid said, “Hassan has rightly conveyed the feelings of the Muslims.”
Regarding the slain TTP chief, Shahid was adamant on revenge. “We know the killers of Mehsud. We will track them down,” Shahid said concluding, “Hakimullah would be avenged like Sheikh Osama and this is not just a threat.”

There is no secular party in Pakistan and there had never been in the past. A secular Party (or a Politician) will NOT use a religion in politics to govern the State. The secularism is "The State has nothing tr do with the Religion and the Religion has nothing to do with the State (government).
With this clear definition of Secularism even Jinnah and Bhutto were only fake seculars. One used the religion to becompe the Head of the State and the second coverted the State of "Pakistan" to " Islamic Republic of Pakistan".
An Islamic (religious) State will be only religious. It will be neither a rapublic nor secular..

Time and time and time again TTP has made it very clear what their objective is. Peace to them = A replica of what Taliban had in late 90s and early 2000s in Afghanistan, in Pakistan. IK is trying to do for KPK what Shahbaz Sharif did a few years back for Punjab (i.e. begging Taliban to spare Punjab and put everything on the Federal Governme nt vis-a-vis the anti-terrorist operations)

He renews their vow of continuing to target our soldiers, policemen, minorities, Shias, moderates, liberals, schools that teach un-Islamic subjects such as science, polio vaccine teams, foreigners. In their quest if a few "innocent" (the ones in the above list are not innocent to them) fall, they claim that's a favor to them as they would be going to heaven anyways. Clearly, various factions of TTP are the militant wings of PTI, PMLN, JUI, and JI, with one goal: To terrorize their opponents.

Punjabi's composition of dream team is excellent. To me it needs slight amendment. Imran khan should be the PM, as only then he will be able to order airforce to stike down the drones. Hafiz Saeed should be Minister for Jihad and Prof Munwar Hasan should be included as Mufti-e-Azam.

@Iram: The picture of children you saw in newspaper was from Quetta (Killed by TTP in Bomb blast). The irony is that the same newspaper use the same picture of that boy in two different places. Now a FIR was lodged in Tal and the SHO verified all were Afghan Nationals and there were no kids being harmed or dead. So keep you conspiracy theories with you. If you are afraid to be associated with Taliban's, better to stay quite. Or declare yourself to be one of them.
Taliban have attacked harder targets like military convoys, police stations, defence intallations, well protected politicians etc. It implies that if they wanted to, they can easily target NATO supplies, which is a soft target for attack. Ever imagined, why they dont target NATO supplies? Either they are themselves involved in this business or their tribal brothers are in this business. Why doesn't IK understand the mindset of the tribals and the Taliban.

In another news today ET reports that eleven teachers carrying out polio vaccinations were kidnapped from Khyber Agency today. Will Imran Khan even make an appeal to TTP to release these eleven teachers? Has Imran Khan ever made an appeal to TTP to allow polio vaccinations? It is not just Imran Khan but no leader of any major political party has ever made an appeal to the talibans to allow polio vaccinations.
Road are closed for all transport, as NATO neither has separate roads nor identifiable transport. PTI stupidities have been augmented by JI dogma of violence. As if the suffering of people at hands of Terrorists were not enough, that PTI had to further rub salt in the wounds of people.
Talibans appreciation of something doesn't automatically make it a bad thing. The headline is misleading and wants to create a certain perception.
