Cross-border attack: Two minors injured in shelling

Tribesmen in the area condemned the cross-border shelling and demanded it be stopped.

KHAR: Two children were injured when mortar shells, fired from an unknown location in Afghanistan, landed in Nawagai tehsil, Bajaur Agency on Friday. An official of the political administration said the mortar shells fired by unidentified militants landed on a house in Hashim Charmang. Two children identified as Rahmanullah, 9, and Rasool Khan, 16, suffered injuries. “The injured were rushed to Khar Headquarters Hospital where Rahman was referred to a hospital in Peshawar due to his critical condition,” said the official. Tribesmen in the area condemned the cross-border shelling and demanded it be stopped.
