Rivalry: Woman raped for ‘seeking justice’

FAISALABAD: A woman was raped by four men in Chiniot on Friday. Police said Rabia* was on her way to the district courts when Waheed* and his three accomplices abducted her. They took her to a field and raped her, police said. Hussain*, a relative of the woman, told police that she had filed a case against the suspects a family court. She was on her way to the court for a hearing, when she was abducted and raped, he said. “Waheed and his accomplices had been pressing her to withdraw from the case,” he said. The City SHO said a case had been registered against Waheed, Baggo and two other men. He said police were waiting for the medico-legal examination report. A police team has been constituted to arrest the suspects, he said.
