"The Government of Pakistan has strongly condemned the US drone strike that took place in Hangu district of the K-P province on November 21, 2013," the adviser to prime minister on national security and foreign affairs Sartaj Aziz said on Friday, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The statement added that Pakistan government's concerns were relayed to the US Ambassador in Islamabad on Thursday, and that it was reiterated such attacks were particularly worrying given Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif just spoke against the strikes to President Obama during their bilateral meeting in October.
"Our deep concern in this regard was conveyed by the Advisor to US Ambassador, adding that this has deeply disturbed the people of Pakistan," the statement read.
"The Government of Pakistan would demand immediate cessation of these drone strikes."

innocent people are getting killed as collateral damage in the course of action against the enemy of innocent people.
so the govt of Pakistan accepted Afghan nationals killed at Hangu as their own people...fighting in Afghanistan....
How many more decades would each Pakistani govt and ISPR would continue to play the same like a broken record? Do they really think that we are such a big fool or they simply don't care about the public?
..so government of pakistan demanded..???..hahahhahaaha...
@nrmr44: ..it is run by CIA with its huge network..they do not trust pakistanis to give them any info....that ship sailed when they got osama...!!!
It seems to me the Americans have a very good ground network in Pakistan which designates the time and location of high value targets for the drones. I wonder who runs it for them.
Here is what pakistanis don't understand. No one in America even hears about this issue. Very few people are like me that read your newspapers. Any coverage of these incidents in the press is good news as it is reported for what it is - strikes on militants and terrorists. Strikes will not stop until Pak becomes a real ally and not just a beggar with a hand out. Go clean up FATA and the strikes will stop. That won't happen becuase to many Paks support these cavemen, including IK.
By conveying our deep concerns, I think we're signaling that we are finally a great superpower, as predicted by great short people with long caps with those hanging threads, and thick beards.
@Chacha: The sheeple doesn't realize what you have said. America has killed innocents & Yes they are not answerable to anyone. Even US Congressmen are against their foreign policy of drone attacks. But the sheeple in both countries are quiet about it.

No worries. Eventually ppl will realize how conspiracy theorists were Right all the way.
What makes Pakistan believe it has the right to provide sanctuary to terrorist who attack it's neighbors and supposed allies? I don't blame the American's for taking action against these thugs who are openly using Pakistan as a base to attack them. How many times have the American's asked Pakistan to do something about these terrorist - how many times has Pakistan said they didn't have the money or they would get around to it when it suited them. , You want to get rid of the drones - then step up to the plate and get rid of the terrorist.
one world for pakistan........LOL...........ROFL..LMAO
America is answerable to no law..or I must say we american's(As i am american citizen and left pak 10 years ago) are not answerable to any country...because what pakistan is doing is wrong...they are still harbouring terrorist just like osama,zawahiri......hence we support USA as it is cleaning the dirt which actually pakistan army should have done it...if one more incident happen in USA then the so called place in south asia will not be there where a counter operation will be done..
Pakistan government response has become quite ridiculous.
Be it FATA, Abbottabad, Islamabad, Hangu, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Muridke or anywhere in Pakistan, it is a legitimate operational area for the drones if Osama, Zawahiri, Haqqani or Haifz saeed is spotted or needs to be taken out. See how quiet is Hafiz Saeed now. He was taunting US from Lahore just after US announced $10 million reward. India took strong action and the infiltration and firing at LoC has stopped. Hafiz Saeed is wanted for killing many, including Americans. He will face the consequences, sooner or later. If Zawahiri is found in Pakistan, that will be the end of Pakistan.
US has already said that the recent drone strike in Hangu destroyed a facility near a madrassa and the madrassa was not attacked or destroyed. PTI is the ruling party in Hangu. Why is Imran Khan not bringing out the truth and identities of those who were killed in this drone strike. If any innocents and children were killed, why is he not revealing their names and identities? Where are the dead bodies of those terrorists who were killed?
America is answerable to no law or international body. It imposes its will on others by hook or by crook. Creating bad press, to engineering economic hardship, to launching militants, to use of force, to orchesterating coups, are all fair game for her. If the government of Pakistan was its puppet, America would have conveniently used it as a rubber stamp, and since its not, America conveniently ignores it. The bottom line is America’s interest, talk of democracy and terrorism is an eye wash to pursue those interests. Similar is the case of UN, if UN acts as America’s puppet, she uses it as a rubber stamp, else America ignores it. America has always supported dictators in Pakistan as their weak position at home can be exploited for advancing America’s interests. In order to create confusion and discredit the efforts of current government of Pakistan, America is trying to create an impression that drone operations are being conducted with the consent of the government of Pakistan, which is not true. This only happened under the dictator, whom America exploited as usual. All surveys report that an overwhelming majority of Pakistanis don’t want these drone operations but that is not important for America. On the other hand if there is an issue that less than 5% of Pakistanis care about but it can be used to exploit the government, Americans would blow it up to look like a major issue for the sake of her interests.
So far we only see double standards for Pakistan Government. If you are serious then reject American funds first and then talk the talk. You beg and demand at the same time that doesn't make sense.
one hungry naked man was standing on a road. a man from next building came with a plate of rice and kept in front of him and stood behind him. but this hungry man was not bending to pick it up........ but different people are having different priority.
