The NICL scandal involves purchase of real estate on inflated rates. Zaman had sent a controversial memo to then establishment secretary Abdul Rauf on the progress of billions of rupees NICL scam, even though he was not authorised to do so.
A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, while announcing the final verdict on the NICL case, made the decision to hand over investigations to NAB.
The court also ordered NAB to recover Mohsin Habib Warraich, Amin Qasim Dada and Khalid Anwar Khan from abroad and take them into custody.
The NAB will also investigate Pakistan Peoples Party's Makhdoom Amin Fahim, former principal secretary to the prime minister Nargis Sethi, former establishment division secretary Ismail Qureshi and Salman Ghani - who are all suspected to be involved in illegal appointment.

Comically ironic that the nation's top corruption watchdog's chief is himself implicated in a massive corruption scandal. Disgrace!
SC is right in his action. As long as Zardari and Nawaz are there, corruption will not go away. These 2 are the biggest looter of Pakistan. They protect each other. The elections were rigged in a very unique Fashion. Dr. Qadri and Imran Khan were all along right- sad but true. Only revolution can get rid of Zardari and Nawaz Sharif according to Dr. Qadri and --- Neutral and free judiciary is not enough in Pakistan if no one is there to implement the verdicts. God save Pakistan! We still have some hope that things will get better.
No doubt NAB chairman corrupt simple evidence is that he has been appointed by Zardari and Nawaz. Any way we must not happy with Cheap's objection ,actually he wanted to post Ramdey ,which was very strongly opposed so cheap did hislast effort in revenge

@yasin: NAB chairman was Secretary commerce and was involved himself in NICL scam. This implies action must be taken against PM why he allowed such a person become NAB chairman.

we all knew what he is capable off, IK and PTI was absolutely right that this guy was appointed chairman by N league and PPPP to protect their own cases. People still make fun of IK. No wonder our nation worth even lesser capable leaders...

Honourable SC perhaps does not want NAB to function as since the day civilian chairmans are posted in NAB, one after the other, each one has been kiked out on one ground or the other.
