The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on Wednesday sent a show cause notice to one of its member provincial assembly (MPA) Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa for reportedly supporting an advertising campaign that promoted a block on Nato supply through the region, Radio Pakistan reported.

PPP sent a show cause notice to its MPA Fakhr Azam Wazir, who was elected from PK-71 Bannu during the May elections. He is one of the four PPP MPAs in K-P.

The notice, signed by PPP Additional General Secretary Raza Rabbani, sought an explanation from Wazir on why he had violated party discipline and supported an advertising campaign in newspapers.

Wazir hails from the Dommel Tehsil in Bannu, which lies along the Indus Highway. The highway is the main route used by most Nato supplies.
