KARACHI: After a drubbing in the two-match Test series, the West Indians will be looking to prove that their tour to India is more meaningful than mere participation.

Dwayne Bravo may take over as captain in the three-match One-Day-International (ODI) series, which kick-starts with the opener in Kochi today.

Earlier, India batsmen tore into Australia bowlers in the seven-match run glut that the hosts won 3-2 last month.

Captain MS Dhoni is pinning his hopes on the return to form of Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina, who were off colour against the Aussies.

“It’s important, not only for them but also for the team that they score runs,” said Dhoni, according to ESPNcricinfo. “After the openers set the platform, these guys can capitalise in the last 10-15 overs.”

The second match of the series will take place in Visakhapatnam on November 24, with the final ODI to be played in Kanpur on November 27.
