Riazuddin alias Bholo Qureshi was arrested by intelligence agencies and handed over to the Station Investigation Officer (SIO).
According to the SIO, Bholo was killed in an 'encounter.'
There was a 0.5 million-rupee bounty on his head.
Many prominent gang members in Karachi have been killed or apprehended by authorities during the recent security operations in the city.
Lyari ‘gangsters’ killed in encounters
On November 18, four ‘gangsters’ were killed in an alleged encounter with the law enforcers in Lyari. According to law enforcers, the encounter had occurred in the Dubai Chowk neighbourhood of Lyari, the area dominated by notorious gangster, Noor Muhammad alias Baba Ladla. This is one of the areas most disturbed by the ongoing violence between the gangs over the last couple of weeks.
The violence had escalated on November 17 as well, following the killing of Kareem Baloch, a close aide to Baba Ladla. Kareem was reportedly killed by members of the rival Faisal Pathan group. Meanwhile, a police official and three other people were also killed as a result of the clashes on November 17.

My legally trained colleagues bring up good points... but the judiciary itself is so corrupt and rotten, the prison system in such shambles, that extra-judicial killings is often the only "justice" that is appropriate for murderers... then again, it is a slippery slope. Either way, I applaud the LEAs who put their lives on the line for us, even if their seniors happen to be corrupt.
All extrajudicial killings are fine in Karachi and they are celebrated as long as one party is not touched. What a shameful double standard.
@The Only Normal Person Here: Are these really good things happening here? You as lawyer ought to know it better than most simpletons that such killings are anything but good. How can anyone who is once arrested by any agency (....Bholo Qureshi was arrested by intelligence agencies and handed over to the Station Investigation Officer ) can manage an "encounter£ and get killed. This is plain and simple extrajudicial murder and all such killings must be condemned and protested otherwise no one is safe, anyone can apprehend us, you & me, assuming or pretending whatever crime and kill in the name of "encounter". This is outright illegal and we all, especially lawyers must stand up against such high handedness of whoever is killing citizens.
So good things are happening in Pakistan. Good job police.
I like these encounters:)
