Tragedy: Seven killed in roof collapse

The dead and the injured persons had come to Swat from Karachi.

SWAT: At least seven people of the same family including three children and two women were killed when the roof of a house collapsed in the Sarbanda area of Swat over the Ashura holidays. The police said the dilapidated roof of Faridon’s house collapsed, killing his wife Shah Mina, one son and daughter-in-law instantly, while three other members of his family were severely injured. The three injured were taken to Matta Civil Hospital and later transported to Saidu Sharif hospital due to the severity of their injuries. However, they succumbed to their injuries on the way. The dead and the injured persons had come to Swat from Karachi. The funeral prayers of the deceased were offered in their village in which a large number of people participated.
