SSGC overpower PEL to claim maiden win

SSGC secure their first win of Pakistan Premier Football League as they defeate Pel 3-1 in Lahore.

Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) secured their first win of the Pakistan Premier Football League (PPL) 2010 as they defeated Pak Elektron Limited (Pel) 3-1 at the Model Town Football Academy Ground in Lahore.

PEL scored the first goal in the 32nd minute through Muhammad Shaire, which was equalised 10 minutes later by a header from Asim Faiz. However, SSGC bounced back as Ziaur Reham and Sabir Khan fired the other two goals in the last 10 minutes to seal the win.


Meanwhile, KESC lost to defending champions Karachi Research Laboratories (KRL) 3-0. KRL’s Muhammad Shahid scored the first goal before Muhammad Qasim hit a brace in a space of six minutes to put his team on top. KESC, already 3-0 down, were further troubled when captain Muhammad Essa was sent off with a red card in the 72nd minute as KRL secured the one-sided encounter.

PMC Athletico Club drew 1-1 with Baloch FC in a match where both goals were scored in the first-half. Pakistan Navy  and Pakistan International Airlines also drew 1-1.
