Whereabouts unknown: Local JUI-F leader kidnapped

The FIR has not been registered so far, the police official added.

DI KHAN: A local leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) is suspected to have been abducted by unidentified persons, a Mulazai police official said on Thursday. According to the official, Saeed Bahadar, son of Sher Bahadar, told the police his father could not be contacted and had not been home since Wednesday. Sher Bahadar was visiting Frontier Region (FR) Tank to pay condolences to his relatives whose family member had died, and had not been seen since, stated Saeed. Sher belongs to Marwat tribe and is a resident of Mulazai village of Tank. He is also an active district leader of JUI-F and campaigned extensively for Maulana Attaur Rahman during his election drive. The FIR has not been registered so far, the police official added.
