The Sindh government has requested the federal interior ministry to suspend mobile phone services in Sindh on Muharram 10, Express News reported.
According to the Express News Bureau chief Karachi Aslam Khan, the Sindh interior ministry has requested the federal ministry to mull blocking the cellular services in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana and Mirpurkhas on Muhaaram 10 for security purposes.
Earlier, Sindh government had imposed ban on pillion riding for Muharram 9 and 10.
Mobile phone services in Punjab:
Punjab police has requested to mull the mobile phone services in Punjab on Muharram 9 and 10.
Mobile jammers would be used to monitor the mourning processions on Muharram 8th , said Punjab police.
