
A new recruitment policy will see as many as 1858 educators hired to meet the teacher shortfall in government run schools in Rawalpindi.
According to District Education Officer (DEO) Elementary Sheikh Hasnaat, teaching staffs’ enrolment process has already started in the district and after their induction, the quality of education is expected to improve manifolds.

The recruitments will be made on merit and an entry test has been made mandatory in this regard, said the DEO who added that around 1116 Elementary School Educators will be employed as a part of the initiative.
Teachers for arts subjects will also be enrolled. Recruitments of these educators will be made under National Testing Service (NTS) while November 30 has been set last date in this respect.
