Development projects: Rs100m released for Satiana-Faisalabad road

DCO inspects newly constructed sports gymnasium in Samundri.

FAISALABAD: “The provincial government has released Rs100 million for the completion of Satiana-Faisalabad Road,” District Coordination Officer (DCO) Noorul Amin Mengal said on Saturday. He was visiting the project site.

He said work on the project would resume soon.

Mengal also inspected other city roads and ongoing development schemes. He directed the tehsil administrations to develop “aesthetically pleasing” green belts in the city. He directed the officials to give top priority to public welfare projects so that the masses could benefit from them.

Mengal also paid a visit to the construction site of Centre of Excellence at Jaranwala and directed the concerned officers to complete the project soon. He inspected the Rs80 million newly constructed sports gymnasium in Samundri and directed the Sports Department to use the building in the best possible way. Later, he visited Iqbal Stadium and asked the officials to renovate it.
