Ashura preparations: Control rooms in all Sindh districts

This is to ensure that no untoward incident takes place during Shia processions.

KARACHI: Sindh Local Government Minister Sharjeel Memon has asked the administrators and deputy commissioners of all cities in Sindh to ensure supply of clean drinking water, street lighting and cities’ general cleanliness on 8, 9 and 10th Muharram. The Sindh minister has ordered that all district headquarters maintain control rooms to ensure that no untoward incident takes place during Shia processions. Moreover, he has asked the local government secretary to cancel the holidays of all staff to ensure that they keep the city clean, as well as, are capable of dealing with any emergencies that may need to be dealt with in the province.
