Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will visit Thailand later this month to participate in the ‘Connect Asia Pacific Summit’ scheduled to take place in Bangkok on November 18, according to a foreign ministry statement.
Nawaz will also undertake bilateral official visit to Thailand after the summit at the invitation of his Thai counterpart, Yingluck Shinawatra, it added.
Connect Asia Pacific Summit is being jointly organised by the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, Government of Kingdom of Thailand and the International Telecommunication Union.
The summit will be attended by the presidents of Mongolia and Rwanda and prime ministers of New Zealand, Cambodia and Togo. The visit, which closely follows the visit of Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra to Pakistan in August this year, foreign ministry spokesperson Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry said.
