Kill and dump: Police find body near trash can

'Unidentified body placed at PIMS mortuary where no one has claimed it,' says police.

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police found a body dumped near a trash container in I-10/4 on Thursday. The unidentified body has been placed at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences mortuary where no one has claimed it, the police said. According to the police, locals discovered a suspicious black travelling bag near a trash container in Sector I-10/4. A Sabzi Mandi police official, who was doing the rounds, was alerted to its presence. The police constable opened the bag and found a body, tied and wrapped in sheets. A case was registered at the police station against unidentified persons for murder. The investigating officer said the deceased was a male, around 50 to 55 years old and had fair complexion. The officer said there were no visible signs of torture or wounds which indicates the deceased was not shot or stabbed.
