The government is working on a legislation to regulate private hospitals in the Islamabad Capital Territory to improve services and maintain strict quality controls.


This was stated by Minister of State for National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination, Saira Afzal Tarar on Friday, who added that a legislation to address quackery in the country will also be formulated. According to the minister, the Pharmacy Act 1967 and PMDC act is also being revised to bring it in line with modern-day requirements. She added that the government is also taking steps for proper registration and regulation of homeopathic and traditional medicines.
