Taking revenge : ASI shot dead over land dispute
According to the complainant, he has a long-standing dispute with the family of the accused over ownership of land.
HARIPUR:
A serving Assistant sub-inspector (ASI) was shot dead in the limits of union council Baka on Friday, police sources informed. Kot Najibullah police said Khan Nawaz, father of deceased ASI Sheraz of village Jabi Baka, filed an FIR alleging his rivals killed his son who was in Haripur for a vacation from his training. “On Friday afternoon, Sheraz was going to his fields when Shaukat and Nasir, sons of Zaman, followed him and opened fire from a 30-bore pistol,” Nawaz told the police. Killing Sheraz on the spot, the accused escaped. According to the complainant, he has a long-standing dispute with the family of the accused over ownership of land.
