The DHOs were also directed to send monitoring reports to Memon.
RATODERO:
Sindh health department director-general Dr Ashfaque Hussain Memon has directed district health officers (DHOs) in Sindh to put all health facilities on high alert during Muharram. Memon faxed a letter to all DHOs to personally monitor the health situation between Muharram 8 and Muharram 10, stating that they should stay in their headquarters during the time. The DHOs were also directed to send monitoring reports to Memon. Paramedics will be working round-the-clock in camps outside hospitals while a sufficient quantity of blood will be kept as backup during the period.
