Cordial relations: ‘No visa restrictions for Pakistanis’

Two countries should share more delegations in order to strengthen ties: Bangladesh official

MULTAN: “We have not stopped issuing Bangladeshi visas to Pakistanis,” Bangladesh High Commissioner Suhrab Hossain said on Tuesday. Addressing the business community at the Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), Hossain said visas to Bangladesh, in most cases, were issued within a day. “I have asked the embassy staff to give preference to visa aspirants who come in from outside of Islamabad,” he said. The high commissioner said Pakistan and Bangladesh shared cordial relations. He said the two countries should share more delegations in order to strengthen ties. MCCI President Khawaja Muhammad Usman said trade between Pakistan and Bangladesh had increased. He said the ties between the two countries could be cemented through trade and technical cooperation. Usman said Pakistan was the largest producer of raw cotton and bulk of the crop was grown in the Punjab. The chamber of commerce Senior Vice President Tahir Rehman Naqi also thanked the high commissioner on the occasion.
