KRL continue impressive form in PPFL

Defending champions KRL registered their third win in the Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) after defeating KPT 2-0 at the KPT stadium yesterday.
KRL drew against Muslim FC 1-1, while Coach Tariq Lutf said that his strikers missed out on scoring opportunities in their last fixture.
However, Kaleemullah redeemed his position as the key player yesterday. He scored the opening goal in the 29th minute, and later sealed victory in the 58th minute of the match.
KRL have 10 points after playing four matches, while KPT fell to fourth place with 21 points.
They were replaced by Navy, who defeated PIA 2-1 at the Korangi Baloch Stadium.
Both teams played a goalless first half, with Navy’s Zeeshan Ali scoring in the 56th minute. PIA’s Asif Bux equalised six minutes later, however Navy’s Abdul Haq ensured the win with an 83rd minute goal.
After the result, Navy rose to third place with 22 points and PIA stood fifth with 20 points.
Baloch FC player, manager suspended by PFF
Baloch FC’s forward Muhammad Fazal was suspended for six matches yesterday.
According to match-commissioner Shakoor Baloch, the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) issued a disciplinary letter yesterday stating that Fazal, along with the team’s assistant manager Muhammad Shoaib, had misbehaved with referees and other officials.
This incident took place after the player was sent out on a red card in the 52nd minute of the match against ZTBL on Tuesday.
“Fazal will not play six matches, whereas Shoaib is not permitted to enter the stadium for the next four matches,” Baloch told The Express Tribune. “I gave the decision because Fazal was shown a red card for abusing the players and officials.
“And after the red card, Fazal and the assistant manager misbehaved with everyone — their team tried to disrupt the match. They accused us of being partial to ZTBL, so we registered the complaint to the PFF.”
Baloch added that Shoaib would also need to pay a fine of Rs5000.
