Musharraf’s bail with two surety bonds of Rs0.1 million each was submitted to the court earlier on Wednesday, meaning he could walk free by the end of the day, once formalities are complete.

The judge said a police joint investigation had deemed the evidence insufficient, declaring Musharraf innocent.
Musharraf’s farmhouse – that had been notified as a sub jail earlier – will be de-notified and the jail staff that was guarding it will leave.
While the Adiala jail has sent a notification to the Islamabad chief commissioner, the latter has yet to endorse what is the last step between Muhsarraf and his release.
Musharraf is still on the Exit Control List (ECL) but he can freely move within the country.
However, his lawyer Ahmed Raza Kasuri claimed on Wednesday evening that per his reading of the laws, Muhsarraf's name was no longer on the ECL. He added that all the cases against Musharraf were fake and that justice had been served with the bails being approved.
His counsel, Ilyas Siddiqui, said that Musharraf was granted bail in all four cases against him and he is now an "average citizen".
On November 4, a trial court had granted Musharraf his request for bail in connection with the murder as there was not enough evidence linking him to the crime.
Musharraf was arrested on October 10 on the order of Islamabad High Court (IHC) over the alleged murder of the deputy cleric of Lal Masjid, Abdul Rasheed Ghazi and his mother during a military operation in 2007. The ex-president had filed an application before the Additional District and Sessions Court and sought bail in this case.
During the course of hearing on October 30, attorneys from both the sides completed their arguments and judgment had been reserved till November 1. The hearing had further been delayed to November 4 to allow the prosecution more time to collect evidence.
Ilyas Siddiqui, had maintained that his client was wrongly implicated in the case as the First Information Report (FIR) was based on mala fide intentions.
Advocate Tariq Asad, representing the prosecution, termed the court’s decision unlawful, adding that they fully intend to challenge this decision.
But elsewhere there was anger. Aseefa Bhutto Zardari tweeted that Musharraf was her mother's murderer.
#Musharaf set free? He is guilty for the assassination of my MOTHER among many of his crimes! Judiciary once again obliges the military!

Only patriot alive that is Musharraf just compare the economy and Pakistan status he is only one save Pakistan by the help of ALLAH
Hai Moderator youstopped taking comments,as 99% commentsin favour of "Great Musharraf" Only one Chaudry Allah Dad .Wait may be another CAD come out from any gutter.
@hamza khan: Admitting mistakes doesn't make things right, correcting them does. If any ABC leader of this country makes blunders and then subsequently admits them, would this absolve him/her from the misdeeds?
@Ch. Allah Daad:
Mr. Musharraf is right when he did not take responsibility. It is because we have a parliament and a Prime Minister and army general take orders from Prime Minister. If there were no central and provincial govt then your claim will be right. On this you are wrong brother. Go and use NS shoulder to cry your blues.
A very welcome news. Pakistan First.
@A J Khan:
That is the reason I stopped listening to their time wasting programmes. I hope many more are doing the same. Those who are listening to these goons I guess they have ample time to waste.
All cases against PM are based upon biased and lies. One day you will be in Prime Minister house. Good luck PM as you are one of those who is patriotic.
@Rex Minor: Oh ya! I just remember Musharraf called the Al Saud for advice before the operation(...like all Pak leaders do)and they said:
very good news. musharraf made mistakes, as every leader in history has and will. but he admitted them, came back bravely to his country instead of cowering, and faced the false cases lodged against him. may he be rewarded for this bravery. even if the nation is ungrateful, we all salute this soldier for his sacrifices for his motherland.
If his fans reckon that he will go unpunished after desecrating the sanctity of the house of God, then their man is the first one in the Islamic history!!!
Rex Minor
Guys Musharraf has been granted a bail, not acquittal from acquisitions. Being granted bail doesn't mean that the suspect is found innocent. It merely means that when required, the person on bail will produce himself before the court during the trial. @Ch Allah Dad: Valid point, If he didn't order the operation Lal Masjid then who did......Oh I got it, CIA! since ever since the famous phone call, CIA was effectively running the country. Which leader can "sell" the Al-Quaida detainees for $$$$? Its the brave general. When Americans found out that all Pakistan cared about was some $$$$ rather than a sincere "no money attached" cooperation, they started the do-more mantra. And they were in their right to demand because they were "Paying" the general for his "services". Ever wonder where did that 8 Billion $ go?
"Murder Trial" in case a person who challenges the writ of the government gets killed. "Martyr" designation if you are a terrorist and get killed in drone attack. Amazing country, amazing people. So much effort this nation puts in the safety of murderers and terrorist.
@Prabhjyot Singh Madan:
You are telling us something that make us humble!
They say: "IT TAKE ONE...TO KNOW ONE"
You must be a TRUE MAN yourself SIR!
That's what it tells about you.
I support and like Musharraf, he is very good for Pakistan. Great news. HOWEVER, please also give some credit to Nawaz Sharif, the Chief Justice of Pakistan and Gen Kiyani for not going beyond their legal brief and letting the legal system go through its process and did not interfere significantly, which they could easily have in Pakistan.
The time is for nation rebuilding, with the US planning to leave and have some sort of a dignified exit, the opportunity is rife. IK is respected in KP and the Tribal areas, Nawaz obvioulsy has Punjab in its grip, Sindh with the PPP and MQM, situation a bit vague in Baluschistan (where our major focus has to shift). Now Musharraf should also be playing a significant role with the other leaders. He should seek a reconciliation meeting with CJ and Nawaz (now from a position of strength) and I am sure the the other leaders will reciprocate.
Above all, there should be separate address by Musharraf to the North Waziristan and South Waziristan people. Ask for their forgiveness for the collateral damage, explaining the US pressure, Indian interference and outright and outrageous attacks on our defence installations by FOREIGN mercenaries.
Now is the time. Lets grasp it!!!
@Ch. Allah Daad:
Or maybe they are just playing typical hatred tactic. I bet if you were there you would do the same, won't you?
Now work for Pakistan mister or your homeland India and stop worrying about who you still have to settle your score with.
Mash'Allah, A blessed news for Pakistan. Can't wait to see him on Tele. Above overwhelming response of love towards Musharraf is a tight slap on the faces, who claim Musharraf has got no backing in Pakistan. Love you all, APML Shaheens !!!
Lot of us indians like Musharraf, beside kargil. He is a patriot who did not killl nawaz . He has respect of the army too. He should be the prime minister. A admirer from india. Rab rakha
Musharraf will be next PM of Pakistan. Only thing that he should not select a cowardly Army Chief again like Kayani. Army Chief is man who must shoulder all responsibilities of taking care of country. Kayani was bad choice of course.
It is a common practice in civilized countries that the government of day whether legal or illegal has the responsibility to maintain law and order. What happened at the Lal Masjid is directly connected to the clergy and no body else, they were responsible for that mayhem. That said, Musharraf could be tried for negligence in the murder case of BB and if evidence is there for ordering the murder of Bugti, then he should be tried for that too, after all it is the same army which sent Z A Bhutto to gallows on murder charges in the case of Kasuri. The main case for which he must be tried is for subverting the constitution by staging a coup against an elected government of NS in 1999, regardless how bad a prime minister NS was, it did not give the right to the Army and it's general to do what they did. Musharraf is already on record saying to BBC that he had violated the constitution by declaring emergency and incarcerating the highest judiciary of the land. He must be tried for that act of his along with his cohorts, a precedence must be established in the name of the constitution of Pakistan that in future any ambitious Generals will have to weigh the consequences of their actions. Further more he must not be allowed to go abroad until he is declared innocent in all the cases going on against him.
@ch. Allah Daad,
no problem, you prove that each and every thing was exclusively and independently ordered by Pervez musharraf. dont waste time here online and using baseless statements that are too simplified too believe. cases are still open. go ahead and be the part of these cases and bring in some more cases say. who knows where your luck works.
@Ch. Allah Daad: So this is the best you can come up with now, calling Musharraf a coward? The only one that has wilfully faced all the fake cases, the one that boldly ordered actions against the terrorists you sympathise with (yes the ones that cover their faces), the one that is a decorated officer who fought in 3 wars against India, the one whose government tenure gave us 7-9% GDP growth and relatively high security, and when Pakistan was among the best upcoming economies? Keep on sir, no one believes you as seen here in this very forum.
why not Musharraf hanged for his Kargill mistake
@Ali: Zardari wasn't Musharraf's gift. It was our Awaam's gift to ourselves.
I hope he does a press conference and punctuate it with his famous words 'Mein darta warta kisi se nayin hoon!'
Finally lower court judges are sensing the closing departure date of CJ.
@ Ch Allah Dad well implicating someone in a false case for a personal vengeance is definitely not an act of bravery!!!! but what else can we expect from NS
Speaking about cowardice our sitting PM did not had guts to condemn Taliban for the 5 years while in opposition, last I heard his raiwind farmhouse was protected by 1000 policeman and commandos not to mention the guards deputed for his other family members....... in fact I remember the cowardice of Shahbaz Sharif who after Lahore bombing immediately went and said Talibaan and Punjab govt has the same agenda while thousands of civilians and army men were sacrificing their lives in the name of this country.......
Such is the leadership of NS and his brother and while now prime minister he did not had audacity of to condemn Talibaan bombings even though protected by entire govt machinery, this is our WAR leadership I wonder what this family will do if there is a real war take refuge in Delhi
.....well we really don't care about NS his family or their sceptical past and present the IRONY is that their media manager call Musharaf coward on media who pulled out his fellow soldiers out of burning tank and inspite of being twice nearly assassinated did not bogged down to Talibaan..........I really feel this country has gone to dogs
Its been shocking to heard about the release of a person, whose hand play with the blood of hundreds of innocent Pakistanis to-date. In his tenor first time we saw suicide attacks, he released thousand of culprits via NRO. Zardari was one the gifts given to people of Pakistan.
I do not recall anyone after Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Ayub Khan who actually cared for Pakistan.
Musharraf cares deeply about Pakistan and he has proven that repeatedly. On many occasions he had argued for Pakistan on International Stage. He is among very few Pakistan Firsters. I wish Pakistanis would realize that before it is too late.
Do remember we all are humans(supposedly) also.
Pakistan needs compulsory education for all the children under 15 paid for by the government so that these youngsters are taught to think for themselves and hopefully can come out of the influence of the so called Mullahs and think for themselves.
welcome back sir. sorry we couldnt be of much more help but we still look to you for leadership.
The Boss is back !!
@azmat khan: In his statement to investigating team and in an affidavit to court he admitted that he did not order any action, although he was President and Chief of Army Staff and soldiers under his command were ordered to fight terrorists. Any brave person would take such responsibility as we have witnessed in other countries, but this coward has refused to take any responsibility. He must be cursing his supporters who are involving him in Lal Masjid.
So happy want to see him on Interview ! Thank you Allah the all mighty so much ! Truth prevails ! May Allah protect him . Brave Commando
@Ch. Allah Daad: We were missing your nonsense very badly..... shame on you for not trusting the courts and for not admitting that Musharraf did the finest job for Pakistan which no one can do... result of past 6 years democracy is in front of everyone.
@Ch Allah Dad But Musharraf did face everything boldly whereas your leader wept and cried for Saudies help during detention in the Attock Fort.
@Ch. Allah Daad: Chaudhary Sahib, please continue to mourn the death of your hero HakeemUllah Mashud - he delightfully accepted all the murders and even have videos. Go Talibans!
Love Musharraf who kept everything stable; dollar stable, commodity prices stable, Karachi stable, country stable, common people stable, utilities stables ........ and yet paid anchors keep accusing him. He liberated media, empowered women and boosted morale of Pakistanis living abroad.
Bring Musharraf back, i sure everything will become stable. We need an honest and brave leader like Musharraf.
Great leader, Pakistan needs so badly today.
Musharraf is not my leader but he committed no offence by killing these petty terrorists.
Musharaf is free of charges because he did not accept the responsibilty of any action. The coward is saying that he did not fight but his supporters are awarding him the medal. Shame on them.
Great news. Long live Gen Pervez Musharraf.
The rooh of ghazi Abdul Rasheed would be tarrping crazy. But let it tarrap. Ooooo General, welcome back sir. But please please dont walk free as an average citizen. There is just simply no security for an average citizen in this country.
Hats of sir, and go overseas as we dont worth, we ashame we forgot you, all of your supporter now become PTI supporter, and fooled by Imran Khan the grat buzdil Khan.
@LIAQAT ALI: if you talk about treason then you'll have to try each past ruler of Pakistan...everyone has something on their hands...start from General Ayub then...why only Musharaf?
@ Candid1, Thumbs up !!
Very happy to know about him. Musharraf please take over this country. Democracy is a best type of revenge from ppl of pakistan after your exit.
Ali@Musharraf has admitted n.r.o was a mistake,gift of being the two largest political parties of Pakistan, at the time Musharraf gave the people a choice of free and fair elections,if the vast majority of illiterate people believed in all the lies told by the corrupt politicians, life will be a lot better for everyone when we are in power, you can not blame Musharraf,the PEOPLE of Pakistan voted for PPP and again for pmln,if Musharraf had not been deliberately barred from the election this year he surely would have have gained a lot of votes.
The greatest tragedy with Pakistan is the intera and inter institutional protection. All the institutions especially the Army, security establishment and corrupt bureaucracy are free hands and uncountable. In army every one protects each other; general protects general… and so on from top to the bottom the same standard. In police each protects his own institutional fellows. Similarly in bureaucracy each and every bureaucrat protects and supports each other as an institution fellow and as so on in other institutions. There is no justice and standard but intera and inter institutional protection. The one who is crying for the abiding of constitution and the rule of law have been themselves violated the constitution for last 65 years. There is no standard in Pakistan for the good and bad but only survival of the fattest. Such system of Pakistan is neither Islamic nor secular but it’s the mob of animals racing and competition; sucking blood for the survival.
This Lal Masjid case was a joke..........he was being tried for pruning the branches instead of being tried for not unrooting the tree.
@ali ahmed: absoultly brave man
General !! any one trying to escape in BURKA, gives legitimacy to guards to eliminate. You did not, for that I am angry with you. for the rest you are better than many. PAIJA Zinda Baad.
@LIAQAT ALI: And throwing away the system would not have been "TREASON," right? Thank you for demonstrating how intellectually challenged Musharraf's opponents are.
Yayy! Musharraf is free...
BRAVE MAN.. ALLAH BLESS YOU.. WE ALL PAKISTANI WITH YOU.
Tragically Musharraf is being persued for wrong reasons and on wrong cases.He is not guilty of murdering any human being.He is of course guilty of voiltaing his own oath and breaking constitution which resulkted in setting Pakistan backwards by more than a decade.And he is guilty of keeping Zardari, Nawaz Sharif and Altaf Hussain politically alive. They all would be long gone if system was not thrown away.Musharraf must be tried for TREASON for these reasons.
Assallamwallekum, beautiful news so glad he's free from all the cases.
You are the life I live You are the hope I have You are the one look up to When country is in despair Only you have the courage to lead us from the front Commander I am here to serve for my country
Musharraf Zindabad!
My boss is free - Ready for order's sir!
Musharraf's opponents have been saying that he would never come to Pakistan. When he came they tried their best to persuade him to leave the country. Musharraf refused and wowed to face all cases. Now some shameless media people are syaing that Musharraf would flee the country. I am proud of my brave leader. Allah be with you.
congratulation...to brave man.............
Musharraf will contest next election to 'save' Pakistan. All the best.
Congratulations PM! Live long and stay blessed! Thank you for staying the course with this ungrateful nation!
Congratulations to the entire nation. Slap on faces of those media persons who have foriegn agneda to weaken Pakistan and malighn Musharraf, the best leader Pakistan ever had.
What a coutnry we live in...sane people go to jail while insane are called martyrs
Musharraf is the Great Hope for Pakistan. He will revive dignity and economic strengthening of Pakistan insahallah.
Excellent News. Finally some good news for Pakistan. May god bless Pakistan and may god bless the hero of Pakistan, General Pervez Musharraf!
This decision of the fake case is much to the dismay of all those who are running parallel courts on private channels and who see thier desires as Law of the Land.
Great! I would be waiting to see him in some talk show soon.
This news just made my day....looking forward to seeing him ripping apart anchor persons on our channels!
G A Musharaf.
regards,
Great News after such a long while.
Finally
Pakistan is a great country. Everywhere else, a judge orders. In Pakistan a judge requests. To whom is the request addressed?
Like a boss.
Super News in the morning! Alhamdulillah. Long way to go my dear leader..
General, all power to you. May Allah be your protector. Still miss the days when Pakistan was the most "Hospitable country in the world and our Northern Areas the most attractive for the tourists!"
