Well-planned: Expat looted after leaving airport

A gang of armed robbers looted cash, foreign currency among it, and valuables from an expatriate en route to his house along with his father from Benazir Bhutto International Airport in the early hours of Tuesday.


Muhammad Iftikhar lodged a complaint with the local police that a gang of armed robbers stopped them while putting heavy stones on the road and snatched Rs51,000 cash, 7,000 Saudi Riyals, a laptop, five mobile phones and other valuables.


The police registered a case against the robbers but no arrests or recoveries had been made till the filing of this story. A police official said the incident must have been planned in advance.
