Increased competition: SSUET gets record number of applications

KARACHI: A record number of applicants have applied for the engineering disciplines of computer, electronics, civil, biomedical and telecommunications, with a total expected increase in applicants of over 25 per cent from last year. Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) currently has over 5,500 students studying in these disciplines. The application deadline is November 11 and the aptitude test for admissions will be held on November 24, said a university official.
