Day off: 1st Muharram a public holiday

All government departments and offices will remain closed.

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government has declared 1st Muharram a public holiday in the province. According to a press release issued by the Information Department on Monday, “There will be a public holiday on the occasion of Ist Muharram, 1435 Hijra.” All government departments and offices will remain closed. Security for the upcoming month has been tightened across the province with snap-checking police units patrolling the provincial capital.
