The resolution was presented by JUI-F parliamentary leader Maulana Lutfur Rehman.
The K-P Assembly is set to meet today at 4pm to review the killing of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) chief Hakimullah Mehsud and the proposed closure of Nato supply routes. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led government, who is pushing for the block, is likely to enjoy the support of opposition parties.
Today’s session was called by the government after PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s announcement on Saturday to block Nato supply lines passing through K-P.
On November 2, a visibly angry PTI chief Imran Khan had insisted that the November 1 drone strike that killed Mehsud had damaged peace talks and his party would now move to block Nato supplies through Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and introduce resolutions to block supplies in the National, Sindh and Punjab assemblies as well.
Imran had announced this at a press conference in Lahore after a core committee meeting of the PTI.
“The Taliban held only one condition for the peace talks and that was that drone attacks must end. But just before the talks began we saw this sabotage take place,” the PTI chief had stated, emphasising that the attack on Mehsud was part of a greater plot to derail the peace process in Pakistan.

Try is being made to make the terrorists martyrs. Please stay vigilant.
The supporters of terrorists can do what they like. It will not make any difference. God bless America for getting rid of terrorists by drone strikes.
Why IK wants support from Punjab and Sindh in the shape of similar resolutions in the Assemblies to block NATO supplies. ? What if the similar resolutions are not passed and if not passed will he lead to block the supplies? ( shooting sorry, trying to shoot down drones is not an option)
