QUETTA:
Two Nato containers carrying relief goods for Allied forces stationed in Afghanistan were torched in Mastung district on Saturday.
Unidentified men carrying sophisticated weapons intercepted the two tankers in Dasht area of Mastung, according to Levies officials, and set them on fire. The two tankers badly burnt, as the assailants managed to escape.
Levies Force and other law enforcement agencies rushed to the site after the incident and cordoned off the area. No loss of life was reported in the incident.
Nato tankers were attacked earlier in the year in September when armed militants torched at least a dozen oil tankers in Hub. This latest attack comes a day after TTP chief was killed in a drone strike, however, no group has yet claimed responsibility of the attack.

Have we ever wondered what killings like these do to the families of the victims? I wonder if the enemy ever thinks for a moment that the person they are killing may be a father, a son, a brother or a husband? In majority of instance; he is the only member of an extended family trying to earn an honest living and provide for his family. Our hearts go out to the family of the driver killed. We stand by you in these trying times, and we are sure that soon the enemies will have to give up their evil intents or get eliminated.

I understand that the tankers( since destroyed by burning) are owned by Pakistanis and the fuel only belongs to NATO. The vehicles may be insured by Pak insurers on high premium.
