After a string of failed item numbers like Bubbly Badmaash from Shootout at Waadala and Pinky from her disastrous film Zanjeer, Priyanka has finally redeemed herself in Ram Chahe Leela — a love ballad that she labeled as ‘modern mujra’, according to the Hindustan Times.
The song, that shows Piggy Chops doing some intense, sexy moves in a sheer white dhoti and a blouse, got a million hits on YouTube within three days of its release. Of course, the 31-year-old actor is overwhelmed with the rave response. “One million views on Ram Chahe Leela in less than 3 days! Thank u all for all the love,” she tweeted. However, the song continued to garner audience’s attention and crossed about 2 million hits in a week.
“The response to Ram Chahe Leela has been stupendous... I feel a sense of relief and pride. I loved the song from the time I first heard it,” she said in an interview, according to the Times of India. “Working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali was truly a memorable experience. His artistic, creative vision and eye for detail is very inspiring. I was challenged to push the boundaries with my performance.”
The loyalty that Priyanka’s fans have expressed by appreciating her performance proves that while her movies may have not done so well on the box office lately, her sheer presence in a film can greatly increase its value. And it seems that it is not just fans going gaga over the song, in fact the industry in general has been all praise for the actor’s efforts.
“Finally after months I have heard a song and instantly fallen in love with it — Ram Chaahe Leela. Smart lyrics, super melody and well-produced. What I also liked a lot about Ram Chaahe Leela is that it is not overtly grandiose. It is darkly sexy and Priyanka is stunning,” posted film-maker Sanjay Gupta on Twitter.
While co-star Deepika Padukone also complimented her on Twitter, we can’t help but smell a bit of envy here. According to dnaindia.com, Deepika’s current flame Ranveer Singh couldn’t keep his eyes off of the Exotica star while shooting and that is exactly when Ms Padukone called him up to steal his attention.
Considering that Priyanka is on a roll with the success of her second single, her item number and also the trailer of her upcoming film Krrish 3, we believe jealousy is kind of inevitable. After all Priyanka’s graceful, seductive moves have almost eclipsed Deepika’s spirited grooves in other songs in the movie.

Deepika and Priyanka are both successful in their own right, both beautiful, both media savvy ... lets stop with petty argument of jealousy between them - women can feel happiness over other women 's glory .. there is after all enough cake for all to eat even in the glamorous film industry. As a bollywood fan, i like both these actresses equally!!

Deepika has had 4 huge hits in a row one after another. Cocktail, Race 2, Yeh jawaani hai diwani, Chennai Express. Why would she be jealous of Priyanka who no doubt is a highly succesful and talented actress in her own right?
