In Shangla, the number of people affected with dengue virus has reached 1,096.

PESHAWAR/ SHANGLA:


Another dengue patient died on Monday in Bisham, pushing the death toll to three in the region.


Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in-charge Dr Mansoor Ahmad confirmed the casualties, adding a total of 110 patients were tested, out of which 14 were confirmed to be dengue positive. In Shangla, the number of people affected with dengue virus has reached 1,096.

Meanwhile, four dengue patients including a staff member of the University of Peshawar (UoP) were brought to Khyber Teaching Hospital (KTH), Peshawar.

A 42-year-old working as an assistant lab technician at University of Peshawar, Syed Mohsin was admitted to the isolation ward of the hospital. The other patients include 14-year old Nauman, 32-year old Zartaj and 32-year old Rafiullah.

With the four new cases, the total number of dengue patients has reached 8,840 in various areas of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
