In solidarity: PTI expresses solidarity with Kashmiris

Party says it stands by the people in the occupied Kashmir, who were struggling against Indian occupation.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI), expressing solidarity with the people in Indian occupied Kashmir, observed a ‘Black Day’.


In its official statement Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf said that it stood by the people in the occupied Kashmir, who were struggling against Indian occupation.

“Kashmiri people have been sacrificing generation after generation, rejecting Indian occupation and struggling for their right to self determination – one of the basic principles of the UN Charter and the principle enshrined in UNSC and UNCIP Resolutions on Kashmir,” the statement said on Sunday.

Kashmiris around the world observed the Black Day on Sunday. Expressing solidarity Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf spokesperson MNA Shireen Mazari said, “India occupied Kashmir and denied the people of Kashmir their right to self determination in accordance with the UN Charter and the Independence principles that created the two independent states of Pakistan and India in August 1947”.

Protests were held across the country in support of the Kashmiris. LoC ceasefire violations since January have taken the lives of many. Almost 50 violations have been recorded so far.
