Targeted Killings: Cop, political worker shot dead

Police officials said that the deceased was a labourer by profession and hailed from Jacobabad.

KARACHI: A police inspector, a political worker and a labourer were killed in separate acts of targeted killings in the city on Saturday. Assistant sub-inspector Khursheedur Rehman was shot dead in Yousuf Goth, Baldia Town. The deceased was deployed at the Mohammad Khan police post of Ittehad Town police station. Separately, a worker of Muttahida Qaumi Movement, Saleem Bengali, was shot dead in Sector 32-A, Korangi. Police officials said that the deceased had left home for some work when two men shot and killed him apparently over political basis. Also in Korangi area, 25-year-old Pervez was shot dead in Zia Colony. Police officials said that the deceased was a labourer by profession and hailed from Jacobabad. He was visiting his relatives in Karachi.
