Fatalities: Body recovered from Indus River

The body belonged to an older male and bore no marks explaining cause of death.

An unidentified body was recovered from Indus River in Ramak, said Pahrowa police officials on Thursday. The authorities were informed after locals retrieved the deceased from the river.


According to a police official, the body belonged to an older male and bore no marks explaining cause of death.

Meanwhile, three men were killed in Ghala Dher in Nowshera after unidentified assailants opened fire on them on Thursday.

Nowshera Kalan police station SHO Adnan Khan said three friends Fazal Zaman, Niaz Gul and Jahanzaib were in a car,
en route to Ghala Dhair, when the armed men opened indiscriminate fire. The three died on the spot while the culprits managed to flee.

The bodies were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Kalan for autopsies, said SHO Khan. Investigation is underway but no FIR has been registered, he added.
