QUETTA: A group of armed tribesmen assaulted three photo journalists and intimidated others in Quetta on Wednesday. They forced the shopkeepers to shut business in wake of the kidnapping of former president Awami National Party (ANP) Balochistan chapter Arbab Abdul Zahir Kasi. “They hit me and tried to snatch away my camera while I was filming the chaos they were creating,” a cameraman of a private news channel told The Express Tribune. Another cameraman ran inside the Quetta Press Club when the group opened fire. A delegation led by ANP leader Rasheed Nasir, met the journalists in Quetta Press Club and apologised for the violence. “They were angry tribesmen who do not belong to ANP,” he said.
