ISLAMABAD:
Twenty days after the Election Commission of Pakistan's (ECP) deadline for lawmakers to submit their financial details passed, eleven legislators submitted their details of their assets paving the way for their memberships to parliament being restored, Radio Pakistan reported on Wednesday.

The membership of as many as 26 legislators was suspended on Tuesday after they failed to submit a declaration on their assets to the Commission.

The lawmakers who handed in their declarations today included one Senator; three MNAs‚ two members of the Sindh Assembly and five members of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly.

ECP will restore membership of these legislators on Thursday.

There are still fourteen lawmakers who have yet to submit their declarations.
