BAHAWALPUR: Traffic Police SP Mehar Rab Nawaz on Tuesday suspended four officials for issuing hundreds of fake driving licences. In a surprise raid at the traffic police’s licence branch, Nawaz suspended Qaisar Iqbal, Bilal Farooqi, Muhammad Yaqoob and Muhammad Sajjad from service and filed cases against them at Civil Lines police station. The SP told the media that hundreds of fake seals and licenses had been seized in the raid. He said licences were being issued to ‘drivers’ who had not appeared for the mandatory driving tests.
