The election tribunal issued a notice for October 29 to Godil.
Godil denied receiving any such notice and said that further action will be taken according to the law.
Godil had contested the election against former Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi chief Muhammad Hussain Mehanti.
Two other MNAs of MQM, Farooq Sattar and Ali Muhammad Iqbal had also been issued notices by the election tribunal previously, seeking verification of thumb impressions of the voters.

@Dj:
If holding flags was a benchmark, y'all should have won more than 30 seats from across Pakistan ;)
@Adnan Siddiqi: I am a resident of Na-252 as well but everyone during Election Day was there to vote for PTI, rich or poor except for one guy with a N league flag I guess that must have been you.
i openly challenge pti for re election in this constituency no matter in supervision of army as they had done before in NA-254 which they loose also but still mqm will take this constituency this is my challenge to pti
Same ol' yadda yadda yadda.......as if Ali Zaidi would have actually won. The problem with PTI folks has always been the understanding of electoral politics or lack thereof. They still haven't realized that in an average urban constituency, there are elite/burger, middle class and lower income groups. Just because PTI has been able to poll respectable votes from polling stations of Burger Areas, they tend to think that the trend is prevalent in the whole constituency.
BTW, I am a resident of a NA-251 and NA-252 and know what I am talking about.
Same old cry-baby tactics of PTI, the whole world witnessed tsunami getting punctured on 11 May 2013.
@Ali H Zaidi: Well Done. Ali bhai. You were clearly winning from NA252, result was delayed and rigged.
why only Karachi is being target.......why not Lahore ,Punjab,rural sindh,KPP and Lyari NA248
well done ali zaidi.today I also filed an application for verification against rigging on na9 by haider hoti. my judge is very slow and I hope he accepts it.
To The Editor The Express Tribune
This news is incorrect. JI had boycotted the elections. The notice has been issued on my petition to the ECP.
Regards
Ali H Zaidi
first thing is the boycott of JUI from elections and if there is something going on like issued of notice so, they should be proved them if they are right.
@Zen.one:
JI announced their boycott around 1:00 PM in afternoon on election day.
What??? JI has boycotted in this constituency
The news in the text is incorrect. He has contested the elections against Ali Zaidi of PTI. Jamaaat-e-Islami(JI) boycotted the elections. This is one constituency where the election result was announced after 3 days, which points to rigging and also the video evidence is there.
