Four gunmen riding on two motorcycles opened fire on police officials manning the checkpoint located in the jurisdiction of Pahripura police station.
Four police officials – ASI Amin Jan, ASI Fazal-e-Wahab, Constable Liaquat and Constable Ayub Shah – were fatally injured in the attack. They died while being driven to the Lady Reading Hospital.
“Three of the victims were manning the checkpoint, while ASI Amin Jan was present at the site in civvies,” a local police official told The Express Tribune. An extra contingent of police reached the site and mounted a manhunt for the attackers. Two suspects, said to be Afghan nationals, were detained during the operation, led by SP City Ismail. The police official added that it was an important checkpoint on the confluence of Ring Road and Dalazak Road – which is an important entry point to the city.

once again no body killed them...since no body claimed the killing....it is better for IK to merge PTI with jamat-e-Islami..,then no body will blame IK for supporting TTP
The apologetic, passive and submissive attitude of the KP govt has resulted in the loss of many policemen. Terrorists know that since the govt has no guts to act against them, they find the police a soft target for their brutality. The submissive attitude of the KP govt is benefitting only the pTI leadership as they r not being targette, the way ANP leadership was targtted in the past. So far only independent MPAs have lost their lives. Terrorist's morale and capacity have touched new heights under this toothless government.
They were not TTP per IK.
