Alleged rivalry: Firing kills one in refugee camp

After the incident, the police surrounded the Afghan camp and successfully arrested the accused.

HANGU: A man was allegedly killed from indiscriminate firing by his rival in the Kata Karai area, the police said on Sunday. The accused, Abdul Haq, shot Soudagar in an Afghan refugee camp and managed to escape from the crime scene while the injured succumbed to his wounds after a while. After the incident, the police surrounded the Afghan camp and successfully arrested the accused with the suspected weapon used in the killing. A case has been registered by the authorities in the relevant police station and an investigation is underway.
