Greetings

Not all Governments and Private schools readily take up computerisation, perhaps the concerns of cost and after sales maintenance. School2000/UK offers to provide the capital and support for schools. It is free to schools. Computer, about 20 programs/modules to manage the school, RFID readers/Tags to mark Attendance for students/teachers, Barcode readers to identify books and students in the library and Telephone interface [one for group/part of 500 students] is provided for parents to dial the computer and listen to voice message in English/Indian/International languages for up to 4 parents and grand-parents for Attendance, Grades, Homework Behaviour and details of payments made/due, 24/7. The project investment is a lot, about US$ 50,000 and the company recovers this investment over 4 to 5 year when parents subscribe 150 to 300 Rs a month.

In this IT age computer education is more important.Practically usage of computer is as necessary as IT education is.because at the university/college levels mostly work is related to computer and it create hurdles in the way of their progress.(the students who don't facilitate with computer knowledge). Its the responsibility of the government to make assure of the availability of computers.
