QUETTA: Doctors in Balochistan continued their hunger strike on Eidul Azha to protest against the non-recovery of cardiologist Dr Munaf Tareen. Tareen was kidnapped on September 17 in front of his clinic at Pishin Bus Stop. The Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) has continued their token hunger strike at the camp pitched inside the Provincial Sandeman Hospital. The doctors spent two days of Eid at the hunger strike camp. The doctors said, the provincial government does not seem serious in the safe recovery of Dr Tareen since it is not making any progress in investigating the kidnapping case. “No one is safe in the city while the provincial government has completely failed to protect the citizens,” they told reporters.
