LAHORE: A six-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a man in the Race Course area on Wednesday.
The girl was taken to a hospital where doctors said her condition was critical. Police said that the girl’s mother had had a domestic dispute with her husband and had moved to her parents’ house with her children on the Upper Mall. On Wednesday, the children were home alone. A man gave the girl’s brothers Rs10 and sent them on an errand. He then raped the girl. Meanwhile, her father reached the house on the Upper Mall but no one opened the door. Neighbours got together and broke the door open. They caught the alleged rapist in the act and beat him up before handing him over to the police.
