Ilyas and Karam check posts were attacked by Indian Border Security Forces (BSF), Friday evening causing Pakistani Rangers deployed at the posts to retaliate. The exchange of firing reportedly continued for an hour.
India claimed that two of its BSF personnel were injured in the firing in the Pargawal sector.
Earlier this month, Indian firing in the Battal sector had left two injured. The Pakistan Army retaliated with firing after which both sides ceased fire.
Earlier, the Indian army also claimed to have killed seven militants in their side of the disputed Kashmir state. The military claims it has been fighting 30 to 40 infiltrators who crossed the LoC last month.
